
The award winning Parklands Group has an enviable selection of residential care homes for older people in the north east of Scotland, all providing 24 hour professional care. There are currently three homes in the coastal town of Buckie - Struan, Netherha and Buckie. Glenisla is in nearby Keith, Speyside in Aberlour-on-Spey and Mount Barker in Grantown-on-Spey.
The company was established in 1993 by Ron Taylor, with the first purpose built Parklands care home - Buckie. He has created a team from this Moray community committed to maintaining the highest quality standards throughout the group.
Parklands was one of the first Nursing Homes in Scotland to achieve the coveted Investors In People award in 1996. This nationally accredited award, is based on a person centred approach to training and developing.
The Highland & Islands Enterprise Silver Award was made to the company in 2006 for innovation, partnerships, sustainability and economic benefit to the organisation through its SQA training. In addition, Parklands were winners of the Scottish and National Training Awards for 2006, the UK's premier awards for training and development.
The "family" of staff at Parklands care for over 150 residents throughout the six locations with companionship and skill. Nursing, personal and palliative care is provided either permanently, for holiday breaks, short periods of respite care or to convalesce after a hospital stay. Specialist care is available for those with physical or mental disabilities. Close care is provided for independent living. We also offer a day service for non residents on a daily basis.
