We pride ourselves in using as much fresh locally produced food as possible. Mealtimes are unhurried and relaxed with residents given plenty of time to eat and enjoy their food. Mealtimes represent an important social occasion and we endeavour to make them as enjoyable as possible. Any special liquidised or dietary requirements and personal choices are paramount at mealtimes. Residents can either have their meal in the dining room or in their own room and in their own time. Tea, coffee and drinks are served regularly throughout the day with a selection of home bakes. Menus are prepared weekly by our head cook with several choices available daily. All meals have been analysed for their nutritional content by a senior dietician from the NHS.
If you consider bringing your pet, please discuss it first with us. As you will appreciate, we have to judge each case on its merits as only a limited number of pets can be accommodated.

There is always some form of social activity on a daily basis for mental stimulation, varying from outside speakers and musical groups to in-house social groups. There is an Activities Co-ordinator most afternoons. We have regular outings and planned entertainments.
A weekly service is held in most homes and the local ministers operate on a rota basis. If you would like to keep your own minister every effort will be made for him or her to visit as often as you like. Arrangements can also be made for you to continue to attend your own church if possible.
