About Parklands

As a young student, Ron Taylor was the primary carer for his grandfather, a life changing experience that touched him profoundly. It was during those precious moments that the seeds of Parklands Care Homes were sown – a vision of a care group that would deliver the highest standard of person-centred care to others, just as he had done for his grandfather.

Parklands was established in 1993. What started as a single facility in Buckie has now grown into a network of 12 care homes across the Highlands, Moray and Aberdeenshire. Today, Parklands employs around 850 staff and provides high-quality care for around 450 older people in small, rural communities. Parklands is one of the largest independent care providers in the north of Scotland and has been recognised for its commitment to care quality and staff development through multiple awards.

Our Story >

“I looked after my ailing grandfather and I wanted to make sure that the care I gave him is the same as the care each and every one of our carers gives ... and it is.”

Ron Taylor, Managing Director, Parklands Care Homes

The staff are all so caring and thoughtful towards the residents, no matter their abilities and interests. One particular resident said you are all angels, and I think that describes you perfectly.
