Parklands' latest care home will open in Fortrose in early 2021. Offering 40 en-suite rooms in a luxury living environment overlooking the Moray Firth, this state of the art facility will be an asset for the entire Black Isle. Reflecting the heritage and culture of its Highland setting, it is named Eilean Dubh, Gaelic for Black Isle.

Eilean Dubh will be one of four Highland care homes operated by Parklands Care Homes. Parklands also serves the communities of Tain, Muir of Ord and Grantown. In Moray, Parklands operates homes in Aberlour, Keith and Buckie.
Parklands prides itself on serving small largely rural communities, from where it draws the majority of its staff. Our care homes are rooted in the community; we work closely with local nurseries, schools, churches and community groups, we support local charities and sports groups, and we actively source local suppliers.
Eilean Dubh will support around 50 full time equivalent jobs including ancillary, care, nursing and leadership roles. If you have experience of working in the care sector and would like to join our new team, we'd love to hear from you.

"I commend Parklands on the name of the new Fortrose Care Home, which pays tribute to the Gaelic roots of this community. The Black Isle is sorely in need of additional care home capacity and I am delighted that work has been able to progress on the new home during Covid."
