Parklands launches cash incentives for new staff

Award-winning care home operator Parklands Care Homes is launching a new incentive programme to attract more qualified nurses. Parklands, which operates nine homes in Moray and the Highlands, will offer a £2,000 welcome bonus to new full-time nurses.  
 
The care operator has also launched a £250 cash incentive for all other new employees, including carers.  
 
The bonuses are designed to encourage more people to work in the health and care sector. 
 
Manuela Flueckiger, Manager of People and Culture at Parklands Care Homes, said: “The UK has a severe shortage of nurses and care staff more generally which means we have to compete to attract high calibre professionals. We want the best for our residents, after all, so for a limited time we’re offering a £2,000 welcome bonus for new nurses and £250 for all other new employees. 
 
“Parklands operates in smaller, rural communities across the Highlands and Moray, areas with a limited pool of available and qualified staff. Our hope is that this incentive will encourage more care professionals from around the country to join our award-winning team.
