Parklands Care Homes has signed a new sponsorship deal with Keith FC Youth club’s under 17s squad.

The operator of Glenisla care home in Keith, and four others in Moray, has agreed a £1000 sponsorship package with the Highland League U17s North club. Parklands will sponsor the team’s away strip.

Matches are currently suspended due to Covid-19 restrictions but the funding means the team will be fully kitted out when games resume.

Laura Simmers, Keith FC Youth Coordinator, said: "On behalf of Keith FC and in particular the U17s players and coaches, I'd like to say a huge thank you to Parklands Care Homes for their generous sponsorship. During these challenging times, football is so important for the players’ physical and mental health, which makes this support even more appreciated.”

Kerry Robertson, office manager at Parklands Care Homes, is a parent volunteer with Keith FC Youth. She said: “We have a lot of keen football fans in our care and great relationships with local youth groups, so this was a perfect fit for Parklands.

“My son has been playing for Keith FC Youth since they started, with two seasons in the U13s and now part of the U15s squad. Sport is so important for physical and social development, especially during these difficult times. We can’t wait to see the players back on the pitch again.”
