Staff and supporters of Urray House Care Home in Muir of Ord have raised an impressive £2,080 for the home's residents' comfort fund following a weekend of fundraising activities.
The fundraising effort began with four members of the Urray House team taking on Ben Wyvis before the home welcomed residents, families and members of the local community to a family fun day the following day.
Carers Mel MacGruer, Emma Godwin and Rhys Deary, joined by wellbeing coordinator Reem Abdi, completed the challenging climb despite difficult weather conditions.
Rhys said: "The weather made it challenging, but when it cleared on the way back down, the views were amazing."
Emma added: "It was challenging getting to the top in those conditions, but I'd definitely do it again in better weather. I'm really proud that we managed to complete the climb in around five hours, and it was all worthwhile to help raise money for our residents."
Mel said: "The weather made it difficult, but I'm glad we did it and pleased with the time we achieved."
Reem added: 'I really enjoyed the experience. Despite the weather, the waterfalls were amazing and it was all worthwhile knowing we were raising money for our residents.'"
The following day, Urray House hosted a family fun day featuring live music, food, children's entertainment, stalls and attractions. Entertainment was provided by Tickety Boo, Eric the Accordionist and Blue Top Hill, while visitors also enjoyed attractions including Glen Ord Shetland Ponies, Watch Inflatables, Beauly Fire and Rescue, and catering from The Smokepit.
Urray House manager Sebena Iqbal said: "We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts over the weekend. Raising £2,080 is a fantastic achievement and will help us continue providing extra activities, experiences and comforts for our residents.
"The support from local businesses, performers, volunteers, families and the wider community was outstanding. We would like to thank everyone who played a part in making the weekend such a success."
The funds will be used to provide activities, outings, entertainment and special experiences for residents at Urray House.
