Eilean Dubh celebrates International Bagpipe Day

Residents at Eilean Dubh Care Home in Fortrose were treated to the skirl of the bagpipes this week as they celebrated International Bagpipe Day. 

The event featured a performance by talented young piper Callum Crawford, a pupil at nearby Fortrose Academy, who played a selection of traditional tunes for residents and staff.

Lucia Matheson, deputy manager at Eilean Dubh, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Callum for sharing his talent with us on International Bagpipe Day. He is a gifted piper, and his music brought so much joy to everyone. He went above and beyond, visiting every resident, even those in their bedrooms, ensuring no one missed out on the experience.”
