Moray care homes raising funds for cancer groups

Care homes in Moray are planning a series of events to raise money for local cancer groups this month.

Parklands & Burnbank in Buckie is to host a coffee morning on Friday 27 September to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Money raised will be donated to Moray children’s cancer charity Logans Fund.

The coffee morning will be held on Friday 27 September at Parklands and Burnbank Care Home, High Street, Buckie, on Friday 27 September, from 10 – 11.30am. Entry costs £2.50.

Meanwhile, the Keith Cares Club – a partnership between Glenisla and Weston View Care Homes – is holding its latest community event, a fundraising dance at Ugie House Hotel in Keith, also on Friday 27 September. The event aims to raise money for the residents' comfort fund and local charity Keith Cancer Link. Local singer Toni will provide entertainment, with the dance starting at 8 p.m. Tickets, priced at £10, can be purchased from either care home.
