Parklands wins hat-trick of honours at Care Home Awards

Parklands Care Homes has won a hat-trick of honours at this year’s Care Home Awards.

The group, which has 12 homes across the Highlands, Moray and Aberdeenshire, won the Best for Communication and Use of Digital Channels award.

Parklands’ winning submission highlighted its extensive use of social media, video, internet chatbots and podcasts to communicate with relatives, employees and the wider public, and its diverse and engaging range of community activities – from pop-up tea rooms to playgroups, community lunch clubs and Pride events.

Parklands was also a finalist in the Best for Wellbeing category, competing against 15 other care operators, and received a High Commendation. The group earned a second High Commendation in the highly prized Outstanding Smaller Care Home Group category.

Donald Morrison, communications director at Parklands Care Homes, said: “We are thrilled to be recognised across multiple categories at this year’s Care Home Awards. Our goal is to create a warm, connected, and supportive environment for our residents, their families and our employees, and we are delighted to have been recognised at a UK-wide level for our work.

“From parent and toddler groups to pop-up tea rooms, Pride events to community lunch clubs, our homes are committed to engaging local communities in diverse and innovative ways.

“Competition for the Care Home Awards is always strong, so to come away with three trophies is both a surprise and a delight, and a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team.”

Parklands is also a finalist in this month’s Proud Scotland Awards and next month's Stars of Social Care Awards.
