Two Highland care home residents got the surprise of their lives after meeting their Strictly Come Dancing hero, Anton Du Beke.
Catherine Reid and Morag Ross, residents at Eilean Dubh Care Home in Fortrose, were invited to meet the dancer-turned-judge after telling care staff during a coffee morning that he was the celebrity they would most love to meet.
Determined to make their wish come true, Eilean Dubh wellbeing coordinator Fiona Stoddart, who previously worked at Highland Hospice, contacted former colleagues at the charity, where Anton was visiting as part of their 'Strictly Inverness' fundraising dance competition.
Fiona said: “People often say you should never meet your heroes, but in this case Anton proved them wrong! Catherine and Morag were absolutely thrilled to meet him and it’s a day they’ll never forget.
“I’d like to thank everyone at Highland Hospice for helping to make this happen. It meant such a lot to Catherine and Morag to meet someone they’ve watched and admired for years. They had a wonderful time and it really was a dream moment for them. Anton was absolutely lovely with them.”
