Urray House hits the right note with new community choir

13 March 2024

A Ross-Shire care home has launched a search for local singers ready to strike a chord in a new community choir.

Urray House care home in Muir of Ord hopes its new choir will provide a creative outlet for people of all ages and talents, while also building meaningful connections and fostering community togetherness.

Joe Greiner, manager of Urray House care home said: “Singing has a unique way of bringing people together, creating harmony, and fostering a sense of belonging. By joining our choir, you'll not only be able to share your love for music but also make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. No matter your age or experience level, everyone is welcome to join our choir family.”

Joe added: “We have a lot of very keen singers at Urray House. Karaoke night is a firm favourite of many residents, so we’re looking forward to launching our choir. It will be great fun but also very inclusive.”

The choir's practice sessions are scheduled for March 27, April 3, April 10, April 17, May 1, and May 8, with each session running from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
