Aberlour set for colourful Parklands Pride event

Parklands Care Homes is preparing to host its annual Pride celebration with an evening of music, disco and fundraising in Aberlour.

The free event takes place at Fleming Hall on Saturday 11 July, from 7pm to 9.30pm. A raffle will be held on the night, with all proceeds going to local mental health charity Feeling Blue.

The line-up includes Inverness performer and Pride favourite Anthony Collesso, local band Telegraph, featuring Glenisla Care Home carer Kenna Johnston, drag queen Miss Idah and a Pride disco.

Louise Gillies, Manager at Speyside Care Home in Aberlour, said: "Parklands Pride has become a really special event and the team is looking forward to welcoming people to Aberlour for another fantastic evening. It's a chance to celebrate inclusion, enjoy some great entertainment and bring people together in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

"This is the first year we've supported Feeling Blue and we're delighted to be raising money for such an important local charity. We hope people will come along, enjoy the entertainment and help us raise as much as possible."

Parklands Pride was launched in 2023 and has since been celebrated at Parklands care homes and community venues across the Highlands and Moray, bringing residents, families, staff and local communities together to celebrate inclusion and diversity.

Entry is free but donations to Feeling Blue are welcome. Non-alcoholic drinks and refreshments will be available throughout the evening.
