Parklands is located close to the heart of the seaside town of Buckie. The modern, single-storey home provides nursing care for up to 27 residents, with comfortable en suite bedrooms and a choice of welcoming lounges and dining areas.
The home has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, with attractive gardens where residents can enjoy time outdoors. Its location also makes it easy to stay connected with the local community, with Buckie town centre and the Moray coast close by.
Parklands and its sister home Burnbank continue to achieve very strong Care Inspectorate ratings. At their latest inspection in March 2026, the homes achieved Grade 5 (Very Good) ratings across four key areas: residents’ wellbeing, leadership, staffing and the quality of their setting.
Residents benefit from kind, compassionate and person-centred care, with strong relationships between colleagues and residents and a focus on supporting people to live well.
Residents at Parklands are supported to stay connected with the local community, enjoy days out and continue doing the things that matter to them.
Our wellbeing team gets to know residents’ interests, goals and passions, helping to arrange outings and experiences that are personal to them. Residents can also get out and about on our specially adapted electric tricycle, offering a fun way to enjoy some fresh air and explore the local area.
Parklands has an experienced team, with strong relationships between colleagues and residents. The Care Inspectorate highlighted the compassion and respect shown by staff, with colleagues across all departments taking time to engage with residents and support their wellbeing.
Relatives also spoke warmly about the care their loved ones received, describing the team as “just the best” and saying, “I know that mum is in good hands.”
Care Inspectorate Report, March 2026
Buckie is best known for its harbour and fishing, not least for its prized shellfish which is sold around the world. The town enjoys magnificent views overlooking the Moray Firth and is a popular location for dolphin watching. The coastal scenery is breathtaking at any time of the year and the town is a perfect base from which to explore the Whisky and Castle Trails of Moray and Aberdeenshire and the North East 250 route.
