Speyside Care Home is set in landscaped gardens in the heart of Aberlour, just a short walk from the village centre.
The home has 36 en-suite bedrooms and four assisted living suites, alongside comfortable lounge and dining areas and a dedicated activities lounge.
Speyside is a lively, welcoming home with a varied programme of activities, entertainment and outings, as well as strong connections with the local community.
Highly rated care
Speyside is rated Very Good (Grade 5) by the Care Inspectorate for the care and support it provides, the strength of its staff team and leadership, and the quality of its setting.
At its latest inspection, the Care Inspectorate found that residents’ health needs were well supported, highlighting good communication, responsive care and a high standard of palliative care. Inspectors also found robust systems in place to monitor the quality and safety of care.
A skilled and supportive team
Speyside’s experienced team is at the heart of the home. Our friendly, well-trained staff take time to get to know each resident, providing care with kindness and compassion. They work closely together to make sure help is always at hand, offering reassurance to residents and their families.
As one relative put it: “Everyone is very friendly and working together as a team.”
Part of our community
Speyside has strong links with the local community, with residents and colleagues taking part in local events and supporting local causes.
Our team has helped raise funds for Moray mental health charity Feeling Blue, including through Aberlour Pride, while our weekly Barklands Café brings residents together with local dog walkers and their four-legged friends.

Meet our Manager: Louise Gillies
Louise began her career in teaching before moving into social care. She joined Parklands as a carer and progressed to Shift Leader before becoming Manager of Speyside Care Home, demonstrating the opportunities for career development within Parklands.
