We are looking for a Finance Assistant who is detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about providing high-quality financial and administrative support. Whether you hold a relevant finance qualification or are qualified by experience, what matters most is your accuracy, professionalism, and commitment to supporting the smooth running of our finance function.
As a Finance Assistant, you will be adaptable, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy and growing organisation. You will support the Finance and Administration Team with a wide range of duties including purchase ledger, banking, reconciliations, resident billing, and general finance administration. Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with care are essential in this role.
The Role...
- Process supplier invoices, complete monthly supplier statement reconciliations, and assist with payment runs and remittances.
- Provide reception cover during lunch periods, holidays, and sickness, including answering calls, greeting visitors, handling mail, and processing orders.
- Support banking and cash management activities, including credit card reconciliations, petty cash, personal allowance cash, and cash account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end processes to support the production of monthly management accounts.
- Carry out a range of finance administration tasks, including mileage and expense processing, monitoring the finance inbox, recording energy readings, and TV licensing administration.
- Support resident admissions and sales ledger processes, including billing, direct debits, processing changes, managing discharges, and monitoring aged debt.
- Liaise with care homes, colleagues, residents’ relatives, and external partners in a professional and helpful manner.
- Ensure all financial activities are completed accurately and in line with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Assist with documenting finance processes and contribute to continuous improvement within the finance function.
This role is based at our Head Office in Grantown-on-Spey, where you will be part of our dedicated central support team, working closely with colleagues who are committed to supporting our care homes and making a meaningful difference every day.
