Care staff on top of the world after Bennachie climb

29 September 2026

A team from Weston View Care Home in Keith has raised £950 for its residents’ comfort fund after climbing Bennachie in Aberdeenshire.

Seven members of the team completed the 518-metre climb to Mither Tap, with the climb and descent taking just over two hours.

The money raised will go towards the residents’ comfort fund, which supports activities and experiences for people living at the care home.

Weston View manager Leanne Stephen said: “It was a great team effort and we’re delighted to have raised so much for our residents’ comfort fund.

“We were so glad the rain stayed off for us. It was a beautiful clear day and, once we reached Mither Tap, we could see for miles.

“A huge thank you to everyone who supported and sponsored us.”

Weston View is part of Parklands Care Homes, which operates 13 care homes across the Highlands, Moray and Aberdeenshire.
