Urray House launches Big Parklands Charity Challenge

2 September 2026

Urray House care home in Muir of Ord will kick off a month of fundraising this weekend in support of three local charities.

The home will host a community fete on Saturday with live music, stalls, tea, coffee and cakes, face painting and other activities.

The event marks the start of the Big Parklands Charity Challenge, which will see residents and care teams across Parklands Care Homes taking part in fundraising activities throughout September.

Homes and offices across the Highlands, Moray and Aberdeenshire are planning their own fundraising activities, ranging from sponsored walks and cycle challenges to car boot sales.

Money raised through the challenge will be shared equally between Parklands’ charity partners Highland Hospice, Mikeysline and Feeling Blue.

Sebena Iqbal, manager at Urray House said: “We’re delighted to be kicking off the Big Parklands Charity Challenge and we hope lots of people from the local community will come along and support us. Every penny we raise will help three charities that do fantastic work in our communities.”

The Urray House fete takes place at Great North Road, Muir of Ord, IV6 7SY, on Saturday 5 September from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

Anyone who would like to support the Big Parklands Charity Challenge can also make a donation online.
